March, 28th: Day 1, Arrival in Funchal

After a pleasent four hours flight from Frankfurt, Germany, I finally arrived in Funchal, Madeira. The weather was perfect: blue sky and a warm, shining sun! It was so bright that I nearly got a headache..

The hotel I stayed in is far beyond being luxury but - and this is important - is in one of the best locations of Madeira. Located in the old town, shopping centers, bars, restaurant, bus stops, cabel car and a lot more was reachable in a few minutes.
